Starting Point
Briefing Will, founder of Blue Giraffe, came with a clear brief and a completed intake questionnaire, which allowed me to lock in direction quickly. The name and tagline “Recruitment at new heights” were set. The challenge was visual: he initially considered refining a stock giraffe image, but I proposed something stronger: a proprietary illustration as the brand’s key visual. That became the anchor for the identity system.
Objective
Blue Giraffe had a memorable name and tagline, but lacked brand consistency. Visuals across PDFs, LinkedIn ads, and candidate outreach looked piecemeal. With a new hiring platform in development, the team needed a credible identity system that could work immediately for recruitment, while also scaling into digital and social campaigns.
Brand System Architecture
Foundation: Locked palette, typography, and logo system based on the proprietary giraffe illustration.
Identity rollout: Delivered a functional brand book, business templates, and Canva assets so the internal team could work independently.
Scaling: Expanded into social campaigns, recruitment ads, and website visuals, extending the system across LinkedIn and candidate outreach.
